These are the two most frequent scenarios that elicit the dreaded "Error 14" response from the Real Audio Player. This information pertains to Windows based machines only. If you are experiencing this same error on a Mac, simply delete the Real Audio folder in the Extensions folder of your System Folder, and reinstall the most recent version of the RealPlayer (version 3.0 or later)
For Windows users:Scenario Number One:Creative Labs bundles a 2.1 version of the RealAudio Player with the AWE64 sound card installation software.
